Jana Hitchcock

Instructional Designer

Jana is currently the lead instructional designer on the undergraduate minor in Homeland Security and on the master of education for the Higher Education program.

Jana has a master of education degree in Training and Development from Penn State, Capital College. She has had the opportunity to be a part of adult education since early 2000 working to design, deliver, and evaluate effective learning experiences. Prior to joining Penn State World Campus, she was a curriculum and instructional specialist for the University of Pittsburgh, School of Social Work Child Welfare Training Program (presently titled the Child Welfare Resource Center), where she designed a variety of courses to certify child welfare caseworkers, supervisors, and administrators.

In her free time, Jana loves to cook, travel, hike, run, and spend time with family and friends.
