Wenyi Ho Ph.D.

Instructional Designer

Wenyi Ho is the lead instructional designer for the Penn State World Campus master’s degree of Public Administration, the professional certificate in U.S. Business and Constitutional Law, and the bachelor of science degree in Marketing.

She started her work at World Campus as an intern in 2003 while she was a doctoral student in Instructional Systems. She moved to the instructional designer position in 2005. While working at World Campus, she completed her dissertation and received her doctoral degree from Penn State. Her dissertation was a case study of a problem-based learning environment in an undergraduate business logistics course. The dissertation explored the collaborative problem-solving process.

Before coming to Penn State, Wenyi worked as an editor at a publishing house. She conceptualized, designed, and revised textbooks for English-language instruction for senior high schools and junior colleges in Taiwan. That work inspired her to pursue further education in instructional design.

Wenyi is married. She enjoys cooking and baking. She is a member of the Chinese CMA Church in State College. She loves spending her free time with her family and a group of Chinese undergraduate and graduate students whom she works with in the church.
