Linas Mockus

Instructional Designer

Linas is an instructional designer working on the Learning Design blue team. He develops courses for the Special Education and Hotel, Restaurant, and Institutional Management programs.

Before coming to the Penn State World Campus, Linas completed his master’s degree at Lock Haven University and wrote a thesis on the effectiveness of distance education. He also worked as a graduate assistant for the Distance Education office at Lock Haven and discovered a passion for online course development in higher education.

Linas was born in Lithuania and grew up in the nation’s capital Vilnius. Since his teenage years, Linas traveled the world. He finally landed in State College, where he lives an active life and always stands by his second religion—basketball.
